How spreading love to others benefits
everyone, including you!

Spreading kindness and love is something that is so simple but also so powerful. It’s easy to give someone a smile, give someone a compliment, or just really care about what they have to say.
Doing simple things like this creates positive energy.
Everything in this world is made up of energy. Do you want to contribute positive or negative energy into our world?

When you spread love into the world around you, you activate what is called the heart chakra. This is basically an energy center that is located around your heart.
The energy related to this energy center is associated with love, so yes, we really do love with our hearts, it’s a real thing!
Think about the feeling you get when something “warms your heart”. This is the energy center in the “heart chakra” being activated. There is a certain feeling associated with the feeling of warmness in your heart.
This energy is a beautiful positive energy.
When you spread love and kindness to others, you not only benefit other people, you’ll also receive the benefits from this energy throughout your entire self.
Our heart’s energy is activated when we spread love unconditionally. It’s not activated when we are engaging in more negative based activities. For example, think about being around people who are gossiping. Of course, we have all done this from time to time I’m sure, we’re human and not perfect. But have you ever felt drained or just simply not great after engaging in gossip? That’s because this negative activity is something that can drain energy from our heart center.
With these two examples you can see how our actions directly impact our energy.
Heart coherence
Let’s touch on something called “heart coherence” to truly understand how spreading love can help our wellbeing.
The heart and the brain are connected. Many of us know that the brain send signals to the heart to keep it functioning but the opposite also occurs. The heart also sends signals to the brain.
According to research by the HeartMath Institute, our emotions have one of the greatest impacts on the heart’s rhythm. The heart’s rhythm also connects back to how the brain is functioning.
For example:
Stress ➡️ A more erratic heart rhythm ➡️ Decreased cognitive function (such as difficulty thinking clearly)
Positive emotions (such as care, love, and joy) ➡️ A more coherent heart rhythm ➡️ Improved cognitive function
If emotions such as care and love allow our heart rhythm to be more coherent which in turn improves the function in our brain, isn’t it safe to say that spreading kindness (which creates emotions such as love) would be beneficial for our own overall health?

Relation to holistic living
Living a holistic lifestyle means that we do things that nourish the mind, body, and soul.
We can nourish the body with exercise. We can nourish the mind with learning. We can nourish the soul by spreading love.
So think about spreading love and kindness as a way to care for your soul. We can’t work on the mind and body and forget about the soul because the three are interconnected.
When you work on all three, you can access your highest self. Your highest self is like the best version of you. It’s always there but sometimes it may be hidden and you need to put in some work to uncover it.
Activities that work on the soul help remove the veil hiding our highest selves. I also think it would be virtually impossible to see your highest self while bringing negativity into the world.
Spead love and kindness to all
We need to bring positivity and love to others because we are all connected. To access your highest self, this love needs to extend past humans to all that is in our world.
Life is so beautiful when we live in this way.
Bring joy to others and the world and joy will find you.
